Yoghurt Fruity Delight

This delightful yoghurt and fruit breakfast can be made in only a few minutes if you are in a rush, and is just perfect if you seek a healthy alternative to the classic quick start to the day of tea and toast. You will see I am vague with the quantities as basically make each glass as large as you want if making for several people or less if only one person. I let you decide.

Ingredients

  • Fresh banana slices
  • Heaped tablespoons plain Greek yoghurt
    - or non dairy alternative
  • Heaped tablespoons porridge oats
  • Fresh grated apple
    - with skin on
  • Toppings
  • Black cherries
  • Pumpkin seeds

Instructions

  • Prepare fruits:
  • 01 Slice banana. Grate raw apple.
  • Assemble:
  • 02 Alternatively layer Greek yoghurt, banana, grated apple and porridge oats in attractive glasses.
  • Topping:
  • 03 Sprinkle with pumpkins and a whole black cherry.
  • Serve:
  • 04 Enjoy immediately.

Notes

This dish is best eaten immediately due to the grated apple, however, do add fresh lemon juice to the grated apple before assembling, as this will prevent the apple browning too quickly if you cannot eat immediately.
