Cuppa Choco Mousse

A seriously decadent, and yet so easy to make rich chocolate mousse. My kind of quick dessert, and perfect for serving in individual cups or attractive drinking glasses.

Chocoholics enjoy.

Chilling time: at least 3 hours or overnight

Ingredients

  • 300ml cream
  • 250g plain chocolate
    - chopped
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp strong sweetened black coffee
  • Decoration:
  • A heavy dusting of cocoa powder
    - sieved
  • Chocolate wafer biscuits
    - commercial

Instructions

  • Make the chocolate mousse:
  • 01 Heat the cream until it is about to boil.
  • 02 Place chocolate, egg yolks and coffee into a blender. Pour over the hot cream and blend until smooth and ‘noise’ free!
  • 03 Pour into small coffee cups or glasses. Chill.
  • Decorate:
  • 04 Dust cocoa powder over the top and serve if you like with chocolate wafer fingers biscuits, bought commercially to save time.

Notes

Be warned this chocolate mousse is extremely rich and best served in small amounts.
